I am a fan of subtle, understated and underrated style. You know; tonal color combos, matte on gloss, or gloss on matte, discreet graphic details, hidden embellishments, and look-closer-and-you-will-discover-more, type of design.
95% of cycling apparel on the market are obnoxious and full of ugly logos. They're made for professionals with team sponsors. And I am not a pro, nor do I want to advertise a brand I have no association with. A moving billboard? No thank you.
That's why I dig Rapha. They care about the details.
This sticker seals the plastic bag their tees and jerseys are shipped in. To the laymen, it looks like a frosted cake with a candle on top? But to a real roadie, this simple illustration means so much more. Mont Ventoux anyone?
